Pompa cu tocator este ideala pentru drenarea apei murdare uzata ce contine resturi de uz casnic, ape noroioase, ape fluviale, ape reziduale.Pompele pentru ape murdare sunt utilizate pentru a pompa apele cu particule, de la fose septice, de la beciuri inundate.Mecanismul de functionare a pompei de apa murdara este putin diferit de cel al pompei submersibile, deoarece aceasta este prevazuta cu un tocator interior care permite absorbtia de particule de dimensiuni mai mari. De asemenea in bazinele cu mal sau nisip sunt recomandate pentru a le aspira. O statie de pompare a apei uzate este ideala si in cladirile in care nu se pot lega toaletele de sistemul de canalizare, astfel pompa poate sa faca legatura apei dintre aceasta si canalizarea externa.
